SAP keeps releasing updates/ patches/ correction instructions/ enhanced functionality, which can be downloaded from online portal provided by SAP (SAP OSS) and implemented into the system. These correction programs are called SAP NOTES.
At times functionality provided by SAP doesn’t work correctly (due to error in standard program) then appropriate sap notes needs to be implemented. If appropriate sap note is not available on portal then we need to raise issue with SAP. Every licence owner of SAP is given login details; one can login into SAP OSS portal and input complete details about issue along with attachment (evidence/ screenshot/ document). Once details are submitted a ticket number is generated for reference. SAP needs customer’s system access to fix the issue hence basis team has to enable remote location login for SAP.
